Annual Events at Sunflower
Roots & Shoots International Day of Peace Celebration
The Roots & Shoots International Day of Peace Celebration is an annual event held each September in honor of the United Nation's International Day of Peace. Roots & Shoots clubs across the world celebrate by flying Giant Peace Dove Puppets,
showing their commitment to creating a peaceful world for people, animals and the environment. Our 2011 celebration was held Sept. 18, at Veteran's Park in Delray Beach.
Theatre Skit Shows and Fund-raiser
This annual event showcases the talents of our theatre students and raises money to help pay for the cost of our theatre storage space. It will include a kids' flea market, a family potluck dinner, and performances by all of our theatre groups: Storytime Drama, Theatre Workshop, Shakespeare for Everyone, We Love Shakespeare! and Teen Improv. Many thanks to all who attended the 2011 performances on Nov. 6.
