The Little Sprouts Program is a wonderful Mommy and Me class for children ages 18 months to 3 years that introduces the basics of early cooperative play and problem solving skills.

The Little Sprouts teacher acts as a facilitator for both parents and children; the children play, create and explore while the parents discuss early childhood parenting. For the children, the Little Sprouts teacher creates an age-appropriate environment that will allow them to feel comfortable exploring the classroom materials and practicing social interaction with other children. For the parents, the Little Sprouts teacher creates a judgment-free and fun environment to discuss the joys, puzzles and frustrations of early childhood parenting.

All Little Sprouts areas and activities are designed for children to experience and discover at their own pace. Some children leap right in and paint themselves from head to toe; others are happiest observing and studying before they make the materials work for them. At Little Sprouts, parent, teacher and child work together to learn just what each child needs to engage and investigate the world in his or her own special way. This reflects the Sunflower Creative Arts philosophy that each child is a precious individual, needing love and nurturing, and that all parents need support and parenting tools.
