Sunflower Creative Arts director Susan Caruso and teacher Jonathan Iris-Wilbanks had a conversation with national play expert, Dr. Michael Meyerhoff.
Dr. Meyerhoff is
executive director of the Epicenter Inc., "The Education for Parenthood Information Center," a family advisory and advocacy agency located in Lindenhurst, Illinois. He is a psychologist, author, award-winning columnist, and has been featured speaker at the past seven NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) national conferences. He has appeared as a guest on both NBC's Today and The Sally Jessy Raphael shows. Sunflower parents may be familiar with Dr. Meyerhoff as the author of "The Power of Play" pamphlet that we distribute to parents.
